About me - an 'Accidental Activist'

Please click here to read my own 'mother story'.

  1. Thank you so much for sharing. :) I fail to find a better word but: Well done for sticking to what you belief was right and following your natural instincts.
The last photo is gorgeous. :)

  2. Thank you so much for sharing your story. It's so sad that so many mothers go through similar experiences due to hospital practices that are not evidenced based. Good for you for sticking with it, and thank you for the myth busting you do!

  3. Your story is truly moving and you have inspired me to continue bf. My son will thank you one day :)Thank you so much

  4. Thank you for taking the time to inspire and help others. I found your blog searching for something else but I wouldn't have managed to bf my daughter without the help of a kind knowledgeable mother/champion like you. I remember problems feeding 1st night at home (even NCT didn't explain the implications of the changes in milk/feeding over 1st few days) it was traumatic the medics were little help baby couldn't feed all night, just screamed and I ended up rock hard and in tears (wishing I'd brought some formula home from hospital in case).
I'm so glad I found help and didn't give up, after a rocky start it was far better for both of us :-) THANKS

  5. Thank you so much for sharing. I have been following your facebook page for ages but only decided to read your blog today and I'm so glad that I did. We had almost identical birth stories and I also allowed midwives to give my baby formula by syringe, because I couldn't hand express any colostrum after losing quite a lot of blood. My milk didn't come in until day 5 so we had a shaky start to our BF journey but we're still going strong nearly 9 months on and don't plan on stopping anytime soon. Thanks for all the work you do to promote breastfeeding - I too am now a trained peer supporter and love supporting other breastfeeding mums where I live.
